Remembering Dan Brown

Remembering Dan Brown (1949 - 2022) - A Special Selection of Paintings - including a collection of paintings by 30 artists in our 20th Anniversary Show is currently on view through May 13, 2023. There will be an opening reception on Friday, April 21, 5- 8 pm. We’re celebrating our 20th year in Madison and want to thank you for your loyal and enthusiastic support over the years! 
 

Nationally-acclaimed artist Dan Brown studied with realist painter Ken Davies, from Madison, at the Paier College of Art.  Dan specialized in trompe l'oeil paintings, realistic images that literally "trick the eye." Detailed oils of money, Madison and Nantucket vintage postcards, and a view through a cottage window to the bay will be featured. 

 

His portraits of Bob Dylan and other rock and roll legends are part of the collection of Rolling Stone Magazine. Brown's painting depicting the Pentagon the morning after the 2001 terrorist attack hangs in the permanent collection of the Army War College in Carlisle, PA.

The Gallery is located at 679 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT, near the Firehouse.
